A no bullshit journal of family meals
Celebrating eating together - both when it works and when it doesn’t
Welcome to Cook Like A Mother by me, Ellisa. Dinner (or supper as my mom calls it) is when my family makes it a point to sit down together, share a meal, and connect. We reconvene on the day and talk to one another. My kids (7 and 5) dominate the air space and my husband and I try to pay attention and, if we’re lucky, have a bit of conversation ourselves. I look forward to cooking it every day. Some nights I nail it and some nights I don’t. I’m going to share my cooking with you here — flubs and all — so we can build a community around the joy of cooking and eating together. Let’s cook like mothers.
